Le Yashica Ministry d'origine est un appareil photo télémétrique 35 mm avec compteur de sélénium intégré fabriqué au Japon par Yashica à partir de 1960. Il est équipé d'un objectif Yashinon 45 mm f/2,8. Le même appareil photo, mais équipé d'un objectif f/1,9, était vendu sous le nom de Yashica M.
